Google brings Job Searching App called Kormo to India

With an aim to help job seekers to discover and apply for jobs across the country, Google has launched a new android app called Kormo Jobs. 

 

“In the wake of the pandemic, the jobs landscape stands altered, with demand shifting to new services that require different sets of skills and experience. Businesses of all sizes face the challenges of the new normal, while job seekers are having to adapt to this shift quickly. We are heartened to be able to play a helpful role in facilitating connections to impact lives for the better, including introducing important features like remote interviewing earlier this year to ensure social distancing,” said Google India in a blog post. 

Under the brand Jobs Spot on Google app, Google had made Kormo available in India last year. The company had also launched Kormo in Bangladesh and Indonesia in 2018 and 2019 respectively.

As said by Google,  utilizing this app (Jobs Spot), brands such as Dunzo and Zomato were able to find skilled candidates for the respective roles based on the experience and location perferences.  

Although the exact launch date of this app is not knowx, it has around 10,00,000 downloads till date. 

This app not only helps users in identifying entry-level roles, but moreover, it also helps in creating digital CVs and also learning new skills to enhance that CV. Furthermore, these created CVs can be directly shared to every job that is listed in the app.
