Dell Technologies Announces Improved Powerstore Pricing

Dell Technologies is winning close to 2/3 of PowerStore opportunities with channel partners and PowerStore offered at 20 percent upfront discount through channel. It proves the level of commitment of staying simple, predictable and profitable for partners, where Dell Technologies is delivering the partners with a 20 percent upfront discount, through Channel, on its improved PowerStore deals.

It’s a new ‘Deal Desk’ partner support service, to be provided for helping in driving more PowerStore wins. Already shipping 300+ PoerStore units to 40+ countries, from the month of May, Dell Technologies is set to boost the sales via channel partners, where the changes have been implemented to the internal direct sales force for driving more partner engagement.

As compensation-neutral plan, created by the direct sales teams of Dell, to make the same compensation on PowerStore deals for leveraging a partner that is using a discounted price.

This will be effect from this week, and Dell partners will now be able to achieve 20 percent upfront discount on an entire PowerStore deal using a combination of backend and frontend rebates on an entire PowerStore deal, via approved deal registration.

“Dell Technologies is committed to its partners and customers and we have implemented multiple initiatives to help the channel partner community serve their customers better. To enable them further, we have improved our PowerStore pricing in form of increased front-end discount to give partners greater flexibility and profitability,” stated Anil Sethi, Vice President & General Manager, Channels, Dell Technologies, India, adding further, “Partners are key to our midrange storage strategy and it is an opportunity for partners to be involved in the fastest growing storage market.”

In addition to scoring high on availability and automation, PowerStore has exceeded performance expectations, as observed during POCs. Being Dell’s midrange all-flash storage platform, PowerStore is built form the ground up, as a scale-up, scale-out container-based architecture, which accommodates built-in-future-proof technology for addressing the challenges for an ever-increasing workload.

It has built-in machine learning and automation, and PowerStore is a programmable infrastructure, which aims for streamlining application development, and a reduction of deployment time from days to seconds with VMware integration and support for orchestration frameworks including Ansible, VMware, vRealize Orchestrator, and Kubernetes.
